“HAMLET 200 ÅR.”
With the exhibition HamletScenen celebrates a century-long tradition of Hamlet and Shakespeare productions at Kronborg Castle in Elsinore. A tradition, which began in 1816, when a group of Danish soldiers stationed at Kronborg performed the play of Hamlet for the very first time. A great range of international actors have given historic performances at the castle through the last 200 years and these performances are captured by different photographers. Through the years I have had the pleasure to take some of the pictures when the famous Shakespeare plays visited Kronborg Castle. A few of them you will find on the exhibition HAMLET 200 ÅR.
The exhibition is originally created for King´s Collage London for their World Shakespeare Conference in August 2016, but is now exhibition in Denmark at Marienlyst Slot.
HAMLET 200 ÅR
The exhibition is open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 11-16, last day Sunday 27 November 2016.
Marienlyst Slot, Marienlyst Allé 32, 3000 Helsingør
For 1½ year I followed eight elite athletes with a disability fighting their way to the Paralympics in London 2012. The athletes trained hard, fought their way through human suffering and found the way to success. They all have a love for their sport and for life. The exhibition inspires, moves, shows the human strength we all have and puts life in perspective.
The exhibition features 72 photographs and words like; unique, visually striking, fascinating, educational, beautiful, noteworthy and important follows the exhibition.
Two exhibitions were planned in 2013, but the solo exhibition was such a success that it was shown nine different places in Denmark. The last exhibition was in DR Byen, Denmark´s biggest national broadcasting corporation and public-service organization.
